Youth & Teen Substance Youth Outpatient Treatment |  Choosing a Better Tomorrow

Youth & Teen Substance Use Outpatient Treatment at DISC Village provides a structured, evidence-based approach that helps adolescents build stability, improve self-esteem, and address underlying substance use challenges. This program supports teens in developing healthier behaviors while remaining engaged in school, family life, and their community.

Our Youth Substance Use Outpatient program is designed for adolescents ages 10 to 18 who need structured support while remaining engaged in school, family life, and community activities. This six to twelve-week program helps youth build and sustain a substance-free lifestyle through counseling, education, accountability, and family engagement.

What Is Teen Substance Use Outpatient Treatment?

Youth & Teen Substance Use Outpatient Treatment provides structured clinical care without requiring residential placement. Youth attend scheduled counseling sessions while continuing daily routines at home and school.

This level of care is appropriate for adolescents who:

  • Meet criteria for a substance use diagnosis
  • Demonstrate early or moderate substance misuse
  • Require accountability and monitoring
  • Benefit from structured intervention without residential placement

Outpatient treatment focuses on addressing both substance use behaviors and contributing factors such as peer pressure, trauma exposure, academic stress, and co-occurring mental health conditions.

What Services Are Included in the Program?

Teen Substance Use Outpatient Treatment at DISC Village includes a comprehensive set of services tailored to each adolescent.

Individual Counseling: Specialized harm reduction strategies encourage healthy lifestyle development, emotional regulation, and responsible decision making.

Family Counseling: Family sessions strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and establish healthy relationship practices that support recovery.

Case Management: Case management services monitor and track progress while helping youth access additional community resources when needed.

Drug Screening: Randomized and scheduled screenings support accountability and progress monitoring. All participants complete a standard screening at intake and must achieve 30 consecutive days of sobriety upon completing treatment goals to qualify for successful program completion.

Our staff specializes in comprehensive screening, assessment, and treatment of youth experiencing substance misuse and mental health challenges. We strive to reduce barriers to accessing appropriate care by integrating services efficiently into each family’s daily life.

How Long Does Outpatient Treatment Last?

The program typically lasts six to twelve weeks, depending on clinical need and treatment progress. Duration may vary based on assessment findings, engagement level, and achievement of individualized goals.

Youth & Teen Substance Use Outpatient Treatment emphasizes measurable progress and sustainable change rather than short-term compliance.

Parents often search for signs that a teen may need professional help. Indicators may include:
