Prevention Services: Building Foundations for a Healthy Future
Since 2008, Prevention Services has partnered with local school districts to provide in-school life skills development programs and behavioral health prevention services. Our team supports students across the community by helping them build stronger decision-making skills, improve communication, and gain confidence in their ability to make positive choices.
What Are Prevention Services?
Prevention Services offer school-based programs that help students learn practical skills for healthier decision-making. These programs are designed to strengthen protective factors, encourage responsible behavior, and support the overall well-being of children and teens in local schools.
By working directly within the classroom, Prevention Services provides students with a safe and supportive environment to explore their strengths and develop skills that contribute to long-term success.
How Do Prevention Services Support Students?
Prevention programs help students practice positive behavior, learn coping skills for stressful situations, and understand how to communicate in healthy ways. These services focus on:
- Supporting personal growth
- Encouraging responsible choices
- Strengthening life skills
- Promoting emotional well-being
Students gain tools that help them succeed at school, at home, and in their community.
What Is the Role of the Regional Prevention Center?
The Regional Prevention Center promotes community awareness by offering advocacy and training that connect families and community members to helpful resources. These outreach efforts support healthy communities and increase access to local prevention services.
