What Are Peer Support Services?

Peer Support Services offer connection, encouragement, and guidance from trained peers who have lived experience with recovery. Our goal is to create a community where every person feels supported, understood, and empowered to grow.

Peer services help individuals living with substance use disorder by offering a safe, judgment-free space to share challenges, build resilience, and find next steps in recovery.

How Do Peer Support Services Help People in Recovery?

Peer Support Services provide emotional support, skills building, recovery motivation, and help navigate available community resources. Through shared experience, peers offer understanding and hope for those who need someone to talk to during difficult moments.

Peer Groups and Support Meetings

What Weekly Peer Groups Are Available?

Weekly Empowerment Circles: These weekly meetings offer a safe, nurturing environment for individuals to share experiences, challenges, and victories. Meetings are led by trained peer facilitators who guide discussion in a confidential, supportive space.

Themed Support Sessions: These sessions focus on specific topics such as stress management, academic success, and mental health awareness. Each session provides targeted support and resources that match participants’ needs.

Skill Building Workshops: Workshops help participants strengthen personal and professional skills. Topics may include communication, leadership, time management, and goal setting.

One-on-One Peer Services

How Does Peer Mentorship Work? One-on-one peer mentorship connects you with a trained peer mentor who can provide encouragement and guidance. Mentors support you with emotional wellness, social connection, academic challenges, or general personal development.

What Is Resource Navigator Assistance? Resource navigators help you access services across the community. This includes connecting you to academic support, mental health services, career resources, and DISC Village programs.

Peer Hosted Wellness Groups: These peer-facilitated groups offer conversations and activities centered on well-being. Topics vary, and new sessions are listed on our group calendar.
