We are seeking a full-time Counselor for our Apalachicola, FL/Franklin County office. The Counselor will conduct assessments, provide group and individual counseling, and perform intervention services in an outpatient setting, working primarily with an adult population.
Essential Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive, individualized biopsychosocial assessments and complete required documentation. Document assessment findings and referral recommendations in clinical notes, including writing progress notes and documenting service delivery. Collaborate with clinical staff or designees to staff cases and make recommendations to minimize future substance abuse, behavioral, and affective disorders. Provide assessment, individual, and group counseling for adults and their families in various settings, including the Outpatient Services location in Madison County and other community locations. Develop individualized intervention/treatment plans with measurable objectives. Coordinate with other community-based providers, both public and private, to offer additional services for clients. Submit all required paperwork to referral sources within specified timelines.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Social or Behavioral Science Field. At least two years of experience in individual/family counseling if the degree is in an unrelated field. Licensure under Chapter 491, F.S. as a Clinical Social Worker, Psychologist, or Mental Health Counselor is preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of the organization’s programs, practices, and policies, as well as documentation and confidentiality rules.
Pay:
$25.00 per hour
