Spotlight on… DISC Village

For more than five decades, DISC Village has been a trusted provider of substance use disorder (SUD) services across eight counties in Florida’s Big Bend region. With offices located in Franklin, Gadsden, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Taylor, and Wakulla counties, the agency delivers a wide range of comprehensive treatment programs, including:
- School-based Prevention Programs
- Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Services for both adults and youth
- Residential Treatment for adults at The Centers at Natural Bridge in Woodville, FL
- Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for alcohol use disorder (AUD) and opioid use disorder (OUD)
Innovative Harm Reduction Initiatives
DISC Village is committed to saving lives through cutting-edge harm reduction strategies, such as:
- Free Naloxone/Narcan Distribution: More than 100 stands throughout the region provide access to this life-saving medication, which can reverse opioid overdoses.
- Overdose Prevention Kits: Distributed kits include Narcan and fentanyl test strips to help prevent accidental overdoses.

Recovery Month 2025
This September, DISC Village will celebrate recovery with community-wide events, including:
- First Annual Run for Recovery on September 25, 2025, at Lake Ella Park in Tallahassee
- A variety of local events hosted across all office and residential sites throughout the month
Statewide Partnerships Through the CORE Network
As a proud partner in Florida’s Coordinated Opioid Recovery (CORE) Network, DISC Village collaborates with local hospitals, including HCA and Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, to offer:
- 24/7 access to MAT induction services, including buprenorphine
- Expanded programs in Leon and Franklin counties, with services launching soon in Wakulla County

- Peer Support Specialists who offer guidance and lived-experience support
