Diversity

Diversity We strive to provide human services to a very diverse population in our geographic area. In an effort to better understand our clients’ challenges, we seek to employ a workforce with similarly diverse backgrounds to bring different ideas, concepts and solutions to the table. Diversity, as a whole, can be broken down into a variety of categories including, but not limited to:

  • Race and Ethnicity
  • Culture and Language
  • Age and Generational Background
  • Life changing experience and values

We recognize each of these different forms of diversity and the importance of creating an environment in which all of our employees feel valued, included, and empowered. We recognize that each employee’s individualized experiences lend to diverse perspectives and viewpoints that add value to our organization’s mission. In an effort to do this better, DISC Village will continue working to review aspects of the agency that relate to operations and staff engagement.
