Our Statement
DISC Village, Inc. has always embraced the principles of faithful stewardship. We recognize and fully appreciate our donors. We appreciate the fact that their resources are given purposefully to support our mission to promote the well being of individuals and families adversely affected by alcohol, other drug use, crime, behavioral problems and mental health disorders.
Our Board of Directors and Staff pledge to honor and respect each donor’s instructions regarding the use of their gift. When a gift is received without any specific instructions, it is carefully and thoughtfully used where it is needed the most and we always value and respect the right of a donor to designate or restrict the use of a particular gift for a specific purpose or service.
We are committed to honoring defined instructions with care. Our Board of Directors and Staff pledge to continue to honor and respect each donor’s instructions regarding the use of their gift. If necessary, we will decline a gift if we feel that we cannot, in good faith, fulfill the donor’s wishes.
Our goal is to continually work diligently with the donor to carefully plan a gift that will best meet the donor’s wishes and appropriately serve the needs of the individuals in our care. Proper planning and complete documentation helps us maintain our ethical commitment to the donors who choose to share their gifts with us.
