Choosing a better tomorrow
Juvenile Drug Court is an Intensive Outpatient program that offers a holistic approach to substance use treatment to promote enhanced self-sufficiency and self-esteem for youth who been charged with a substance-involved misdemeanor or felony charge.
Our Counselors work with youth to determine issues of underlying substance use and criminal activity to assist in developing a new outlook on their personal development that builds a strong foundation for a healthy future.
This twenty (20) week program is structured into four (4) phases that promote the development and sustainability of a substance free lifestyle.
Phase I | 4 week minimum
- Urinalysis (UA) Screenings | Randomized
- Individual Counseling | One (1) hour per week
- Group Counseling | One (1) hour per week
- Family Counseling | One (1) hour per week
- Juvenile Drug Court | Biweekly/monthly
- Community Service | Eight (8) hours
Phase II | 8 week minimum
- Urinalysis (UA) Screenings | Randomized
- Individual Counseling | One (1) hour per week
- Group Counseling | One (1) hour per week
- Family Counseling | One (1) session per phase
- Juvenile Drug Court | Biweekly/monthly
- Community Service | Eight (8) hours
- Chemical Education Course | One (1) hour per week
Phase III | 4 week minimum
- Urinalysis (UA) Screenings | Randomized
- Individual Counseling | One (1) hour per week
- Group Counseling | One (1) hour per week
- Family Counseling | One (1) session per phase
- Juvenile Drug Court | Biweekly/monthly
- Community Service | Forty (40) hours
Phase IV | 4 week minimum
- Urinalysis (UA) Screenings | Randomized
- Individual Counseling | One (1) hour per week
- Group Counseling | One (1) hour per week

- Graduation Essay | Prior to graduation from the program

- Youth ages 13 to 18 years old
- Judicial and non-judicial referrals
What should I bring to my first appointment
- Personal Identification (if available) | ID, Driver's License, or Passport
- Proof of Parent/Guardian income | tax return, W2, paystub, or 1099 form
- Proof of insurance (if applicable) | Insurance card or Medicaid card
- Referral Information (if applicable)
- Proof of any current prescribed medications
What to expect at your first appointment
- Your intake appointment will a minimum of one (1) hour.
- Your counselor will review the Juvenile Drug Court Program rules and expectations, including the guidelines for program completion.
- You will complete intake paperwork and surveys that will better assist your counselor in understanding your personal needs.
- You and your counselor will complete a comprehensive assessment composed of questions related to your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, your family, social support network, physical health, and your school and/or work history.
- Your counselor will review the Urinalysis testing procedures and expectations. You will be assigned an IVR number for the Urinalysis system and instructions on call-in schedule.
- You will be required to take an observed Urinalysis test at the time of intake.
