Current Vacancies:

In-home Counselor
Seeking an energetic, dedicated individual to provide in-home intervention services to families throughout the community. Services include assessment, family counseling, individual counseling and case management. Position requires a master’s degree in a social or behavioral science and experience working with children and families.

 

Dependency Case Manager
Seeking a full-time foster care Case Manager to work with child protection teams and community services serving youths in the Foster Care system. Position to serve Gadsden County. A bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field is required; prefer child welfare experience and/or certification.

 

Case Manager – JDAP
Case Manager needed for Juvenile Diversion Alternative Program to cover Judicial Circuit 2. Incumbent will assess arrested youths, establish case plans and link clients to community services. Requires a bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work or related field, and prefer at least 1 year of case management experience. Knowledge of community resources a plus.

 

Prevention Specialist
Human services agency is seeking to fill a full-time Prevention Specialist positions in Wakulla and Franklin County. The incumbent will provide an evidence based prevention curriculum to middle/high school students considered at-risk youth. Position requires a bachelor’s degree in a social or behavioral science or a related field.

 

Family Visitation Monitor - Part-time
Seeking a responsible individual to monitor children and families visitation services on a part-time basis.  This position will ensure a safe and supportive environment to foster positive interaction among families and perform receptionist/clerical duties.  Must be objective and capable of providing accurate documentation of client interactions.  At a minimum, the successful candidate will possess a high school diploma or its equivalent and have one year of experience working with children and families.  Experience with a multi-line phone system is a plus.  Employment is subject to background and drug screening.

 

Accounting Assistant
Full-time position needed to assist Accounting Department with accounts payable/receivable, billing and contract management. An accounting degree is preferred, but experience in bookkeeping or accounting may substitute for education. Experience working with Microsoft Office and accounting software is a plus.

 

Therapeutic Assistant
FT position assisting counseling staff and transporting clients at an established residential substance abuse treatment center located in Woodville. Position works with an adult female population. Minimum of H.S. Diploma or GED and a valid driver license required. Prior knowledge of 12-step or behavioral management programs desired. Position pays $10.00 per hour.

 

Correctional Officer
Reliable Correctional Officer needed at the Juvenile Assessment Center to ensure a secure booking process. Position requires a high school diploma or general equivalency and experience working in a secure environment. Preference given to applicants with possession of current State of Florida Correctional Officer certification per Florida Statute 943, prior experience a s Correctional Officer, but no longer state certified or at least one year of experience in a state run detention or secure setting providing care, custody and control of youth. Experience booking adolescents is also preferred. Currently filling evening shifts.

 

Family Support Worker
Full-time position based in Crawfordville to service Wakulla County. Position transports children and assists child welfare Case Managers as needed in an office setting.  Employment is contingent upon a strict background and driver license check and drug screen.  Applicants must have a valid driver license and be willing to utilize personal vehicle at times.  Requires three years experience in child welfare, social, economic, health or rehabilitative setting.  High school diploma or equivalent may substitute for one year of exp.

 

Lawn Maintenance Worker
Looking for motivated team player to assist maintenance crew in servicing a multiple location human services organization. Primary responsibility is lawn maintenance and yard work. Position is also responsible for maintenance and repair of irrigation systems. Position requires established irrigation management experience. The selected candidate must pass a strict criminal background check and submit to drug screen.

DISC Village, a non-profit community-based agency, has been in operation for nearly 40 years and is one of the largest and most comprehensive prevention, intervention and treatment agencies in Florida. Through the years, DISC Village has become recognized as a leader in the state for initiating, managing, and coordinating delinquency and substance abuse prevention/intervention programs in Leon County and North Florida.

The agency grew from a Drug Information Service Center located on the grounds of Florida State University.
